On the occasion of this year’s William & Mary vs. UVA football game, James Monroe’s Highland invites alumni, family and friends to a "Founding Friendships" themed tour, a viewing of several behind-the-scenes special objects and a meet-and-greet with Highland Executive Director and W&M Research Professor of Anthropology, Dr. Sara Bon-Harper, Ph.D.
Cost is $15.00 per person, benefiting the Highland Education Fund.
W&M vs. UVA Football Pregame Reception
September 6 | 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Boylan Heights
Tribe Football faces off against the Virginia Cavaliers at 8 p.m. in Charlottesville, Virginia. Come out and celebrate game day with food, fun, and friends at the official William & Mary Alumni Association Tailgate at Boylan Heights. Tailgate tickets include a game day buffet. A cash bar will also be available.
Cost is $10.00 per person.
Tour and Private Tasting at Valley Road Vineyards

Enjoy a private William & Mary experience at alumni-owned Valley Road Vineyards! Beginning at 10:30 a.m., join General Manager Grayson Poats for a walking tour of Valley Road’s Afton vineyard. After the tour at 11:30 a.m., enjoy an expanded tasting of 11 wines while learning about the history of the Vineyard and state of winemaking in Virginia.
Cost is $25 per person. If partaking in the walking tour, sturdy shoes are recommended.
This event is hosted by three of Valley Road’s owners: Barbara Cole Joynes '82, Jim Theobald '74 and Mary Miley Theobald '74, M.A. '80.
