Under the leadership of President Katherine Rowe, we are all focused on Thinking Forward. We invite you to a talk titled “Fashion Forward,” a W&M Women’s twist on the topic. Come join fellow W&M women for camaraderie, great food and drink, and a fabulous learning and shopping opportunity.
Our guest speaker will be Patricia Brown ’82, P ’15, chair and associate professor, Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising, Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. Patricia’s talk will focus on the reinvention of retail and fashion.
We will convene at the Barrel Thief Wine Shop and Cafe. Thanks to Sherri Sell Phillips ’83, P ’14, P ’16, owner of Sweet Dreams, following the talk attendees will have an opportunity for a private and exclusive shopping opportunity at the Shops at 5807. The Shops at 5807 is the home for over 20 shops and they are known for “hundreds of possibilities” including fashion and much, much more. The Shops will close at 7:30 p.m., but the Barrel Thief is open until 10 p.m., so those who wish can return for a second round of sipping.
